Software Development

Platform Architecture & Software Engineering

We design modular systems where each component has a clear boundary and a defined contract — so adding a feature or scaling to a new market does not mean rebuilding what already works. LAB 4.0 demonstrates this: ten industry verticals running from one shared core, with frozen plugin APIs ensuring no vertical can break another.

  • REST & GraphQL APIs
  • Web portals and real-time dashboards
  • Data pipelines & ETL automation
  • Workflow orchestration & automation engines
  • Modular platform architecture with plugin isolation

Embedded Systems & Connected Hardware

We build embedded systems for environments where memory is constrained, connectivity is unreliable, and failure is not an option. O-OS demonstrates the discipline: a modular embedded OS with a strict hardware abstraction layer — drivers bind to HAL, apps never touch raw hardware, and swapping a sensor does not break a single application.

  • Custom PCB design & prototype runs
  • Arduino, ESP32, STM32 firmware
  • MQTT, Modbus, CANBus, BLE & Wi-Fi integration
  • Edge monitoring, OTA updates & cloud telemetry
  • Hardware abstraction & driver architecture

Industry 4.0

Industrial Automation & Workflow Orchestration

We connect factory floors to digital operations — linking workstations, PLCs, and sensors to automated scheduling and live monitoring. LAB-Forge, the manufacturing vertical of LAB 4.0, shows the approach: production orders flow through automated scheduling, workstation status is monitored in real time, and operators see live KPIs without manual data entry.

  • PLC integration (Siemens, Allen-Bradley)
  • Custom SCADA & HMI dashboards
  • Workflow automation & production scheduling
  • Real-time workstation monitoring & KPI dashboards
  • Predictive maintenance & threshold alerting

From Brief to Deployed

  1. Discovery

We map requirements, technical constraints, and non-functional expectations before writing a line of code. No assumptions. No NDA required to start the conversation.

  2. Scope & Quote

Fixed-scope proposal with milestones, clear module boundaries, and explicit acceptance criteria. You approve the architecture before any development begins.

  3. Build

Iterative delivery with weekly check-ins, staging environments, and a private repository you own from day one. No lock-in.

  4. Handoff

Complete documentation, architecture diagrams, knowledge transfer session, and optional SLA. You own the code, the docs, and the architecture decisions.

Common Questions

Do you work with clients in Europe?

Yes. Based in Germany and operating across Europe and the Americas. Most projects are delivered fully remote. We work within CET and EST time zones and respond within one business day.

How long does a typical project take?

Prototype sprints run 2–4 weeks. Full software or IoT projects typically range from 6 weeks to 6 months depending on complexity. Scope is always agreed before work begins.

Do you offer fixed-price or hourly contracts?

Both. For well-defined projects we prefer a fixed-price milestone structure. For ongoing work or unclear scope, an hourly or monthly retainer is more flexible.

Can you take over an existing codebase?

Yes. We start with a code and architecture audit, document the current state, and agree a path forward — whether that is refactor, extend, or migrate.

Do you manufacture the PCBs you design?

We work with trusted PCBA partners for fabrication and assembly. For prototype quantities you typically receive assembled boards within 2–3 weeks of finalised design.

Are training courses available in English?

All courses are available in both English and Spanish. Corporate training can be fully customised to your team's language, pace, and specific technology stack.
