“An active advocate for OpenSource, and professional trainer for schools, colleges, and the general public. Adept at creating interactive workshops and managing IoT and robotics labs.”I design and build production systems from the ground up — software and hardware. Every architectural decision has been tested in a real system with real constraints.
What We Build
We work across disciplines: software, hardware, electronics, design, and education. Our projects range from cloud‑native platforms and IoT devices to embedded systems, Industry 4.0 prototypes, and structured STEM programs for schools, companies, and community groups.

From Distributed Systems to Embedded Hardware
Nodes for Joint Innovation is where ideas become instruments and curiosity becomes infrastructure. We are an engineering studio and learning lab that stitches together software architecture, embedded systems, industrial automation, and hands‑on STEM education into working systems you can touch, test, and deploy. Our work is practical, iterative, and collaborative — built node by node, with people and places connected across continents. We design and deliver field‑ready systems that combine embedded nodes, reliable backend services, and automation workflows. Our projects include microcontroller nodes and sensor networks, modular embedded OS components, Java‑based cloud platforms, and Industry 4.0 prototypes. We focus on solutions that are maintainable, testable, and deployable — systems that survive the first year in the field and scale with the people who operate them.
- Software Delivery: We build scalable backend systems, workflow platforms, and Java‑based cloud architectures designed for reliability, modularity, and long‑term maintainability.
- Embedded Systems: We design and program microcontroller nodes, sensor networks, robotics modules, and modular embedded OS components for real‑world applications and learning environments.
- Industry 4.0: We create automation workflows, digital fabrication processes, and rapid prototypes that combine hardware, software, and design into functional systems.
- STEM Education: We develop practical learning programs: electronics workshops, microcontroller courses, coding training, DIY labs, and technical education for institutions, teams, and communities.
- Community Workshops: We host open workshops focused on electronics, sustainability, repair culture, and practical technology. Our goal is to make engineering accessible and empower people to build their own solutions.
Our Story
We began as a series of small experiments: a sensor on a rooftop, a motor controller prototyped in a workshop, a cloud workflow spun up for a partner. Each experiment taught us the same lesson — real innovation happens at the intersection of hardware, software, and people. Over time those experiments grew into a practice: a network of engineers, designers, educators, and community makers who treat every project as both a product and a classroom. Today NJI is a living archive of those experiments, organized into repeatable methods, courses, and production systems.
Who we are
We are an international team with roots in Cameroon, Italy, Germany, Ecuador, and the United States. Our work blends software development, electronics, STEM education, architecture, design, and technical research into a unified engineering practice.

CIOFS-FP Emilia Romagna ETS
Formazione Professionale
If you need a partner to move from prototype to product, to teach a team how to build reliable embedded systems, or to run a community workshop that leaves participants empowered, Nodes for Joint Innovation is built for that work. We combine practical engineering, reproducible learning, and transparent collaboration to turn ideas into systems. Reach out to start a project, schedule a workshop, or explore a joint prototype.
How We Work: Transparent, Modular, Documented
Every engagement is documented from architecture to handoff. You understand what was built, why it was built that way, and how to maintain it — no black boxes, no proprietary lock-in.
Collaboration is the default mode. You have repository access from day one, weekly check-ins, and staging environments throughout. No surprises at delivery.
