Founder Story

Founder Profile — Nji

Nji is an engineer and educator whose professional path spans three continents and reflects a lifelong commitment to using technology as a catalyst for social development. His journey began in Cameroon, where he completed a degree in Mathematics, establishing the analytical foundation that would guide his future work in engineering, education, and community‑centered innovation.

Motivated by a desire to apply technical knowledge to real societal challenges, he relocated to Italy to pursue studies in Information Engineering. During this period, he collaborated extensively with non‑governmental organizations and social cooperatives, supporting communication systems, IT infrastructure, and digital transformation initiatives. These early engagements shaped his conviction that technology must serve people and communities, not merely industries.

Seeking deeper specialization, Nji continued his academic development in Germany, completing a Master’s degree in Information Engineering with a focus on Information Logistics. His work included research and development in logistics automation, integrating embedded electronics, sensor systems, and data‑driven workflows. Alongside his research activities, he served as a Mathematics tutor, supporting learners from diverse backgrounds and strengthening his commitment to accessible STEM education.

Following his graduate studies, Nji advanced into enterprise software engineering, contributing to large‑scale digital systems across Europe. Over five years, he held roles at organizations such as Infosys and ITGAIN Consulting, where he designed Java‑based microservices, modernized legacy platforms, and supported cloud‑native migration projects for enterprise clients. His work spanned distributed systems, DevOps automation, and Industry 4.0 integrations, bridging software engineering with operational realities in manufacturing, logistics, and digital services.

Building on this experience, Nji transitioned into private consulting, supporting small and medium‑sized organizations in their digital transformation journeys. His consulting practice focuses on cloud‑native architectures, workflow automation, IT strategy, and modern software development practices tailored to resource‑constrained environments. In parallel, he expanded his work in education, delivering corporate training, STEM programs, IoT workshops, and international lecturing across Europe, Africa, and Latin America.

Today, Nji serves as the founder of nji.io, an initiative dedicated to practical engineering education, community empowerment, and cross‑continental collaboration. His work integrates software engineering, embedded systems, and STEM pedagogy to create learning environments where individuals and institutions can build real technological capacity. Through nji.io, he continues to advance a vision in which technology is accessible, practical, and transformative — strengthening communities from Cameroon to Italy, Germany, Ecuador, and beyond.
